We used this Martha Stewart recipe, but added more red gel as there were complaints in comments that it wasn't red enough. Ours were plenty red. Thoughts. Buttermilk does not taste good. You can add all the sugar you want and it still doesn't taste good. :(
These were all done with a Canon point-and-shoot. Not bad results for food porn.
With red gel! Not food coloring.
